How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Just beginning to explore the possibilities.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
From what I have read and been shown so far I can certainly support the core beliefs. I am interested because I think I may have something to share.
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
I have been a mother for over 40 years. As a homemaker I have developed skills as an administrator and cook, including canning and some baking. In addition I have a wide range of management, administrative, and computer skills. Currently I have one son in attendance at Naropa and another aspiring to attend University of Colorado.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
I am currently President of one not-for-profit and in the process of creating another. I previously owned a company that wrote grants for and set up administrative procedure for not-for-profits. My computer and marketing skills would allow me to assist in that capacity. As a cook with experience canning and as a previous cooking teacher I believe I have basic cooking information to share. I also have access to programming which allows meetings with sharing of documents on line.

I can only speak to my own experience. For most of my life I took the lead from my father and his cohorts in developing my worldview. When he died (a personal catastrophe), I took a few years to examine every aspect of my life -- including my values…
Hi Paul,
Sorry for the delayed response. Life got way too busy in December. I'm out of town right now but will be back by January 1st. I'll call you to discuss what we did at the library and to see what we all can cultivate for 2010 in Colorado :)
