Thanks for posting this! I'll see if I can snag time off from work...very interested in this! Hoping within the next few years, if I can swing it, use horses or at least biodiesel tractors for a new farm I'll be starting back home in Northwestern PA…
We will be covering the basics of using draft horses to help get work done around the farm/homestead. You will learn how to harness the horses and about the different types of equipment used with draft horses. There will be lots of demonstrations. L…

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I recently completed the Transition Town Training in Boulder, CO and since then I have been on fire. I have been giving presentations about the Transition Movement in Indiana and here in Colorado. I am also an initiating group member for Transition Boulder.
I make lifestyle choices that help prepare me to lead others during transition (ie not owning a car and growing increasing proportions of my own food).
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I am interested in revitalization of community.
I am interested in helping create food systems that feed people on a deep level so that we have the nourishment to see us through transition. This means creating healthy soils and supporting farmers.
I look forward to meeting you and working with you to create our future!
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
Teach, Learn, Re-create, Build, Earth connection
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
I am interested in offering public speaking and education.
I can teach about chickens, worm composting, urban/apartment gardening, permaculture, wild edibles/medicinals, native plants, how to work with groups, and facilitation skills.

Thanks for getting in touch. The footprint competition you're putting together sounds nifty! I've helped organize similar competitions in the past - I'd love to chat about it if you're interested. 303.601.1621

Hi Stephanie!
It was nice to met you. I look forward to learning more about what transition boulder's vision is and how they intend to allow it to happen. Currently my focus is helping to create Awakening the Dreamer Symposiums. I hope you are well.
wow, you are a rock star.. clip was inspiring, especially how we could see how much you are already doing and feel that Transition really does allow for steps at a variety of levels..Beautiful Stephanie!
Stephanie,
I saw you on the Ch 4 piece last night about Transition. You have taken such a HUGE step in getting rid of your car and making that commitment to buy only local food. I'd love to speak with you about these things more in detail next time we see each other at a Transition meeting of some kind. I hear that you had a great media connection that got Transition in the news! Thank you for that!
Hello Dear Stephanie. I was in Boulder last night for the Howard Zinn event - which was awesome. I hope to come up next weekend (18th & 19th) for the Bioneers Conference. Will you be attending? Maybe we can meet up that weekend if you're up for it :)
Hi Stephanie. As one of our Group leaders, I'd like to ask a favor. On Hands! A Time and Place to Reflect I've requested members to give some feedback on what we are doing here on this site. The prototype stage will be receiving some serious review in the next few weeks. We really need to know what you think....
A potluck!-good food and good talk!-sounds like a plan Margaret! Can't wait until you're back! My best to you up in Boulder, hoping you feel better each day!
Have you ever wondered if it could be done? Can you create a greenhouse that needs NO supplemental heating year round? – the answer is yes!! This greenhouse design, involving stored water as thermal mass and our bountiful Colorado sun, can be used w…
I can only speak to my own experience. For most of my life I took the lead from my father and his cohorts in developing my worldview. When he died (a personal catastrophe), I took a few years to examine every aspect of my life -- including my values…
Hi Paul,
Sorry for the delayed response. Life got way too busy in December. I'm out of town right now but will be back by January 1st. I'll call you to discuss what we did at the library and to see what we all can cultivate for 2010 in Colorado :)
