So I'm curious, is there some thing in particular you'd be interesting in building if you were to come? I'm kind of stuck on what to make. Any ideas for me? Thanks!
I'm new to the Transition web and group activity. You are the first person I came upon and just wanted to say Hi. My background is also in Social Science, though I've been a carpenter/green builder for the past 17 years. I am going back to school for my Master's in the Arch. Engineering Dept. (Building Systems). I will be studying the science behind green building now rather than being the grunt who does it. (though I still love carpentry, just glad to be done having to do it full time.) I also give alot of thought to what constitutes the least impactful behaviors for the planet while still being able to havve a sense of joy and freedom in life. This leads me back to my renewed interest in the science of green building. There is technique, knowledge and skill to being responsive to our mother earth. Just like the members of Dumbledore's Army, we all have to take up the good fight, and come together, like what's happening in this group. Anyway, just wanted to say Hello and connect to you and others.

I also wanted to suggest, since I attended two cold frame classes last year, I can give you a general idea of what was taught in that class. I also have some greenhouse plastic if you want to try it out yourself. We're all pretty busy the next couple weeks, but if you have time and interest, just let me know.
Peace,
Zev
Thanks!
Thanks! Drying in the car worked the best, because my precious fruit wasn't vulnerable to bees and bugs. But the trampoline was really awesome in that I could dry a whole lot at one time!
