How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I'm just beginning to check out the movement...
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I feel it fits closely with what I am doing with Colorado Local Sustainability and the Rocky Mountain Growers Directory. The eat local, grow local being my focus. http://www.localsustainability.net I also started an Eat Local Colorado networking site: http://eatlocalcolorado.ning.com/
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
Connecting consumers with farmers, marketing, publishing and graphic design skills.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
I think many of those who are interested in my project will find the Transition movement of interest, and visa versa. I think it is important that groups such as ours work together to help create real change.

The 2009 Rocky Mountain Growers Directory is here!

The second annual edition of the Rocky Mountain Growers Directory arrived from the printer the other day, and will start being delivered and shipped to distribution points around Colorado starting this Monday.

The 2009 edition contains new farm & ranch and farmers market listings, great recipes you can make with local ingredients, as well as articles on edible landscapes, and the importance of supporting local food.

Hey Jim,
I was about to contact you to welcome you to this site, also because of the Ned connection. I'm surprised we haven't bumped into each other before. Anyway, yes I do teach permaculture. I studied with Brad Lancaster, Scott Pittman, Rico Zuck, and Andy Millison all in the Southwest for my PDC and advanced certificate courses several years ago. I apprenticed teaching PC at Prescott College in AZ and in Ithaca, NY with the Finger Lakes Permaculture Institute. I finally got around to completing my Teacher Training certificate last year with Sandy Cruz and Becky Elder.
Would love to know more about yourself as well.
Feel free to contact me,
Jason
