Ok I think we have a group somewhat coming together.

Deb/Steve, We have David interested in being part of initiating group and perhaps Lisa/Dina as well so it is time to 'initiate' the TNCB.

Deb/Steve/myself are meeting this afternoon at 4pm at Pekoe. Anyone who can make it will be great for the first discussion on the TNCB initiating group.

Thanks,
Sanjay

Hello TNCB! If it helps I would welcome a meeting at my house which is at a general location of Folsom and Valmont. Just let me know if that sounds like a good option and we can co-op on tea, beer, wine if we want.

Sanjay,
Beer, tea? Hard to know which direction to go. Perhaps a Long Island Ice Tea? Anyway, you might be right, Hungry Toad might not be great for an initial gathering, though I think they do have an outside seating area? Pekoe is fine also. I think more important is setting a time when people can actually get together. Hopefully we'll hear from more people soon.
I would be interested in the Initiating group. Sorry I hadn't read about it earlier.

I am not sure Hungry Toad is conducive for a meet-n-greet. Pekoe feels more 'open' kinda place for a meet-n-greet/discussion. But...I am open.
I started a discussion (ABOVE) about joining the NCB Initiating Group. Nobody replied. Would you two David/Faith be interested so we can get the initiating group going?

I'm would be up for the Hungry Toad as a first meeting place. Maybe then we could see who is able to host some events, and who might also be the brewmaster. An easy, accessible first meeting place seems important. I have time this weekend on both eves. Let me know.

I guess it depends on what people are up for. Do folks want to meet in a public place or is someone able to open their home for a gathering of several or more people? (My place would not accommodate.)

If gathering at a public place for a beer or other form of alcoholic beverage is desired, The Hungry Toad might be an ideal central location for "booze and bar grub." That is, of course, unless there is a home brewer or vintner among us...

As for when to meet, weekends work best as I have more of the day available to do things and am also more prone to being social.

I agree with David that it would be good to get together for a meet-n-greet event soon. Anyone have a good suggestion for when and where?

Hey Ya'll
Not alot of activity here. How about we all get together for tea or wine or a beer somewhere soon. Gardens are going to pop up soon. It would be good to have local support and connections around it. Also, we are over-due for some neighborhood gathering of some sort.

Be well.

It's great to see this group and other groups popping up all over town, and I love seeing how neighborhoods are self-organizing. We're going to have to come up with a map for the city to make it easier for folks to find their group!

I'm excited about being a part of the transition movement and hope that it'll be infectious.

Hi Paul, Sorry for the delayed response. Life got way too busy in December. I'm out of town right now but will be back by January 1st. I'll call you to discuss what we did at the library and to see what we all can cultivate for 2010 in Colorado :)
