Hi, I raise backyard chickens in downtown Boulder and have been getting beautiful organic, soy-free chicken feed from a company in Virginia, since I couldn't find any locally. I've tried to set up the company with local vendors, like Golden Mill, but they seem pretty committed to brands like Purina. The costs for getting the feed from VA - environmental and otherwise - are high, but would be lowered considerably if others would be interested in going in on orders. The shipping could then be done in bulk, and the cost drops more than $10 per bag. Is anyone interested in participating, for Boulder pickup of 50-lb bags?

Increasingly, I am thinking of Transition Initiative collaboration and networking at 5 levels:
1. Global
2. National
3. State
4. County
4. Initiative

And then, I am starting to ask what 'is' collaboration and networking look like at the Boulder County level?
An example, for me:
Permaculture and local food production

I wanted to let everyone know, this Tuesday the 30th we will have an opportunity to meet with those in Boulder who run our election process. It is important we show up, so they know we are concerned and curious! I have pasted the invite along with my most updated Boulder County Voter Awareness sheet, just in case some forgot what were working with here. If anyone is planning on going and wants to get together with me before hand to clarify questions feel free to let me know. If there is need for a jam session on our voting process we can make that happen too. The time has come to defend our democracy!
Thanks for all of your energy!
Kellie

What does Balle mean? Viz... (magazine) is based in Longmont. So far, we are not a not-for-profit, we just don't expect to make a lot of money. It is (will be) a county wide magazine. We are looking for someone is Boulder to sell ads (commission) and we NEED a business manager; someone to keep track of the details and keep us right with IRS. We also need help is distrubution. Our main interest is exposing corporate control. We also want to spread the word on the transition movement, permaculture and such.

If you're interested in helping in some way, contact me.
