Hey everyone, a fellow student emailed me information about this event. I think it would be really cool to get a Transition presence so we could mention some positive things happening to the audience, in light of this situation. It's open to anyone, plus it's a new and probably interesting community!

"What is peak oil and what does it mean for us and the world?".
The Potluck is at 6PM, the talk at 7PM, the talk will wind down around 8PM, and will be over by 9PM.
THIS EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
The event is at the Arborwood Clubhouse, 3250 O’Neal Circle. Boulder, CO
Directions: From 30th and Valmont go north on 30th, past Valmont, past Glenwood (on your left) to O’Neal Pkwy, turn right on O’Neal Pkwy and go to O’Neal Circle, turn right on O’Neal Circle, go ½ way around the circle, park. The Clubhouse is in the center, next to the pool.

BRIEF BIO
Ron Forthofer, Ph.D. is a retired professor of biostatistics. He was a professor at the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston for almost 20 years. He also spent a sabbatical year at the National Center of Health Statistics and two years in West Germany as a consultant for a German pharmaceutical company. Since his retirement and move to Colorado, he has been an activist for peace and social justice. In his spare time, he ran for Congress and for governor of Colorado for the Green Party.
