Event Description

With Brooks J. Kelly Ph.D. of Dr. Fungi

Learn the basics of making outdoor mushroom gardens. This class covers the basics for integrating different kinds of gourmet and medicinal fungi (including oyster, shiitake, reishi, morel, and maitake) into your existing vegetable gardens. We will cover soil health, mycelial networks, and companion plantings.

Mushroom kits for fruiting and Dr. Fungi Medicinals will be available for purchase.

$45 at the Boulder Meadows Community Room, 1450 19th Street in Boulder.

To Register: Call Transition Boulder County at 303-494-1521. Please register early for this workshop as spaces are limited.

Dr. Brooks Kelly has over 25 years experience growing gourmet and medicinal mushrooms. His Ph.D. is in fungi and DNA repair.
